Comic Book Tutorial - Simple Halloween Makeup #2

With Halloween close by, I am spending this week coming up with a selection of easy makeup looks that you can create using pretty much just standard makeup bag items!

Today, I am going to show you a super quick comic book transformation! All this look requires is a liquid or kohl eyeliner, red lipstick, foundation and some white cream makeup. At the moment you can pick up white cream makeup in pretty much any shop in the Halloween section but if you are seriously pressed for time, a cream based white eyeshadow will do the trick!

So first, pale yourself up! If you have the white cream makeup to hand, mix that in with a little foundation to make it paler than normal and then apply all over your face, neck and any other areas that will be exposed. If you don't have any cream makeup, after applying your foundation or BB cream of choice, lightly apply a white eyeshadow all over your face. Just for giggles, here is me looking extra pale...lovely.

Next, it's time to transform your features into over exaggerated goodness. If you have a liquid eyeliner in a felt tip pen form, that will be the easiest to use for this step but any kind will work. For your eyebrows, it's basically time to do all of the things you are always told not to do because we are going to over draw them big time. Think straight lines and block colour.

Once that's done, draw a winged eyeliner, darken up the waterline and layer on some mascara. If you have a reliable (aka non smudgey) eyeliner to hand, also draw a line following the crease of your eye. Draw the line just above the actual crease itself to really make your eyes pop. If you are prone to oily eyelids or you know your eyeliner tends to smudge, it's best to skip this step else you'll end up looking reminiscent of a comic book panda.

Then lightly outline the curve of your nostrils and add a faint line down the center of your nose. Ok I'm not going to lie to you, at this point you will look and probably feel utterly ridiculous. I didn't even attempt to get a half decent picture of this stage because honestly, it's scary stuff...and no I have no idea why my hair decided to resemble a birds nest at this moment...

Now it's time to work on the lips. Make sure your lips are nicely hydrated so you can get a smooth finish and pop on a bright red lipstick. Stay away from matte lipsticks for this look as it's all about the gloss in comic books! Next, carefully outline your lips with your eyeliner, slightly overdrawing to give that plump effect. Use a small amount of cream makeup to make a little half crescent on your lips as if they were reflecting the light.

Again take your eyeliner and draw a black outline around your entire face, following along your jaw line and just under your chin. Bonus of this part is that you can create yourself a killer jawline! Also draw in a few tendons on your neck and your collar bone just to make them stand out a little more.

To finish off, add in your comic book dots! With this it's best to use the cream makeup but again a pale cream eyeshadow will work. To get perfect dots, use the end of a makeup brush! Go as wild as you like with these, there are no rules! I went for a fairly limited amount but if you want to do a whole face full, there is nothing stopping you. I also added in a little crescent shaped line between my eyebrows at this point to make my character look a little bit sad. Feel free to add your own finishing touches such as adding in a few tears under the eyes or even adding some stick on jewels over your dots if you want to glam it up!

That's all there is to it! Would you give this look a go? Let me know if you do!

Galaxy Makeup Tutorial - Simple Halloween Makeup #1

With Halloween just around the corner, youtube and blogs alike are filling up with some amazing and seriously creepy makeup creations. I love them all but I'll be honest, sometimes I like to come up with a look that doesn't frighten me when I catch a glimpse in the mirror! Plus, I thought it might be a good idea to come up with some looks that you can create with items that you probably already have to hand for those last minute Halloween emergencies!

The look I have created for this post was so simple to put together and required nothing more than a couple of eyeshadows and some silver eyeliner! Even if you don't have a silver eyeliner on hand, you can mix a silver eyeshadow with something like Mac Fix+ or even a little bit of moisturiser.

What I loved about this look is how simple it was to put together and yet it was pretty effective! For starters, use a primer and your normal foundation to create a uniform base. I then used my urban decay eyeshadow primer to help keep the makeup in place and to make the colours pop. Next I layered on white eyeshadow pretty much all over the top half of my face. Now on to the fun part! If you want to give this look a try, take a blue eyeshadow and start creating a swirling pattern across your face. There are no rules here so literally just start making some shapes until you are happy. This will serve as the starting point for your pattern but you can always add in a little more later if you feel like you're missing something. The only thing I would say is try not to be too symmetrical. Here is what I started out with!

Next you'll want to start building up the pattern! Start by taking a black eyeshadow and with a light touch, start adding in black along the blue pattern. You don't need to follow every blue line exactly, just add in darker areas throughout the swirls. You'll then want to do the same with a purple eyeshadow and lastly add pink with a lighter touch in just a few areas. If needed, add in a little more white just to make the colours stand out a bit more.

To finish off the look, you need to add in the stars! Using a silver eyeliner, start adding little dots across the darker areas in a flowing pattern. As with the initial colour, try to give it a fairly random pattern until you are happy. At this point I also added in some eyeliner along my water line and upper lash line and then filled in my eyebrows.

To finish off the look I chose a suitably bright lipstick as I felt that would work nicely with the swirling purples and blues! However I think you could easily go for a nude lip with all of the colour on the top half of your face or even make it a bit moody with a dark purple or berry lip.

So there we have it, a simple galaxy makeup look you can create using just a few standard makeup items! I think this would look great paired with a sequin dress or go for a super chic look with a classic LBD.

Would you give this look a go? What are you planning to dress up as this Halloween? Let me know in the comments!

Bristol Cocktail Week - It's here!

On Tuesday evening last week I found myself not snuggled up in a slightly hibernation like state as I usually am on a work night. Instead I was in the mysterious and wonderful realm of The Milk Thistle*. Not only that, I was also surrounded by a group of supremely talented people....and some of the best cocktails I have ever had. Sounds pretty good right?

The reason I found myself in this downright delightful and rather luxurious position all started with a lovely email from Tara of The Style Rawr (if you haven't checked it out before, get on it!). In her day job, she is currently working with Visit Bristol to promote the fabulous Bristol Cocktail Week and was arranging a blogger masterclass to get a sneak peek before the events all kicked off! Being a lover of all things cocktail, I absolutely jumped at the chance.

Before we even talk about the evening, we have to talk about The Milk Thistle because honestly it is an absolute wonder in itself. Hidden in plain sight, the realm of sophisticated imbibery is situated right in the center of Bristol behind a big black door. Marked with nothing more than a thistle, you will not find anything obvious to let you know you are in the right place until the door opens. But once inside, you will find a veritable dreamhouse of gorgeous artifacts, chesterfield sofas and a distinct air of opulence. Spread across four floors, each offering a slightly different feel, it is certainly the perfect place to relax and enjoy a seriously delicious tipple. If you are a Bristolian who hasn't been here already, consider it on your to do list. If you are a visitor to this fine land, insist to anyone that will listen that you must take a moment to investigate what lies behind the mysterious black door.

Now onto the evening itself! Despite being really excited, I will admit to being a nervous wreck. I almost nearly wimped out at the thought of coming face to face with some of the people who actually inspired me to be a blogger in the first place. But I talked myself into being a grown up and threw myself into the situation. Complete with nerves, probably at times inappropriate comments and my feel good lipstick, I threw myself into it and I survived! In fact, I had a truly marvellous evening...sounds rather Mary Poppins's esque but what the hell, it's true.

Upon arriving we were greeted by the wonderfully enthusiastic Danny Walker of Psychopomp Distillery with a raspberry and gin collins. He gave us a fabulous insight into the world of cocktails along with some fantastic tasting opportunities. I avidly wrote down notes throughout the session to make sure I could remember all of his hints and tips. Suffice to say when I am next stood in front of my parents' formidable liquor cupboard, I will know exactly what I'm doing (in theory anyway!).

I must admit, it completely changed my view of cocktails. Usually upon deciding cocktails are a great idea, I am that person who stands in front of the spirit aisle and looks for the cheapest thing going. Because after all, it's just going to be mixed in right? I can practically see Danny shaking his head in horror while writing this because that my friends is the biggest schoolboy error of cocktail making. Cocktails are a sum of their parts...or in other words, you cannot add burn the roof of your mouth off, paint stripping level vodka to that old carton of orange juice you found at the back of your fridge and expect magic. No no guys... In fact, one valuable lesson I took away from this session was that if you buy half of the juices / syrups you normally buy and instead invest in some really great base spirits, it makes a previously "average" cocktail into something truly spectacular.

The other common alcoholic faux pas lies in punch making. You know, that stuff where you grab the biggest container possible and pour in whatever happens to be at hand? The same stuff that often happens to get more and more like pure alcohol throughout the night as several party goers decide to add their own flavour to the mix...I thought that was just how punch is. Apart from my mum's punch (because obviously mums can do everything), I literally always saw it more as a means to an end than something one would truly enjoy drinking. But no longer will we have to suffer bad punch because Danny shared the secret to getting the balance just right:

1 part sour, 2 parts sweet, 3 parts strong, 4 parts weak – and some spice to make it nice!

Just to prove his point, he started throwing together a tequila punch. At which a number of people groaned..urgh not tequila...quite understandably really as it's not generally a spirit that one considers outside of stumbling, salt licking, lemon sucking experiences. And yet, what was created was nothing short of spectacular. Everyone praised it despite many comments of "I usually hate tequila" to which Danny quipped "everyone secretly likes tequila, you just have to find how".

It certainly encouraged me to think of cocktails more as a science than a haphazard culmination of odd ingredients and I definitely came away with a new found respect for the bartenders of Bristol. I suspect the next time I get a tad tipsy and decide it's the perfect time to make a new creation the words "but it's for Science!" will be uttered...so yeah...prepare yourselves my wonderful chums.

If you would like to get involved in some of the frivolity, the time is now! In it's 5th year, Bristol Cocktail Week isn't a new thing by any means, but this year is going to be bigger and better than ever. It's going to be an amazing culmination of boozey brilliance ran by a group of volunteers in order to showcase the very talented individuals behind the bar. Taking place from the 19th to the 25th October, it offers more than 20 scheduled events with everything from craft gin tasting experiences and cocktail safaris to a masked ball and an all out bar war! If you consider yourself to be a rather discerning drinker, Bristol is the place to be this week.

You can purchase a wristband here which will provide you with free entry for all non-ticketed events as well as a cheeky £10 off of ticketed sessions. Not bad at all! If you prefer roaming wild through the bars of Bristol, having a wristband will also allow you to get a discount on special Bristol Cocktail Week drinks in certain establishments throughout the city. So go on boys and girls, make the most of this week of glorious alcoholic adventure!...Because after all, diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but cocktails are EVERYONE'S best friend.

*This experience was a PR event and was therefore at no expense to myself. However it truly was jolly well good and I will be personally taking part in some of the events this week with pennies from my own pocket.

Bristol Fashion Week - Live Blogging Show

Last week I was lucky enough to go to the Live Blogging Show for Bristol Fashion Week A/W 15 at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway and in one word, it was fabulous! From start to finish I was so impressed with all of the effort and attention to detail that had clearly gone in to the show and really enjoyed myself!

The show was hosted by Denise Van Outen and Mark Heyes who both looked fantastic. I particularly loved the fact that they were both wearing outfits from the highstreet which just made it all feel that little bit more accessible. Although I have lived in Bristol for pretty much my entire life, I am ashamed to say I have never actually been to the fashion show at The Mall so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. Upon walking in to the purpose built pavilion, I was struck by the feeling of opulence and luxury. The lobby area was styled like an old fashioned theater and there were lines of mocktails and popcorn to take in to the show.

It all started with a gorgeous combination of sequins and fur in the High Shine lineup from John Lewis and Accessorize. The outfits were simply dazzling and it made me want to create a high class event just so that I would have an excuse to wear something so fancy! Next up was a really fun show from Topshop and Topman with the models not just walking down the catwalk but dancing to Men in Black. It continued on with so many gorgeous outfits, brilliant dancing, great music and a lot of very talented, beautiful people! I enjoyed every minute of it and would definitely not miss it again!

Though there were lots of different looks and styles, there were certainly some key themes that ran through the show. Fringing is going to be really big for Autumn / Winter which ties in perfectly with the resurgence of 70's styles. There was also a lot of fur, from coats to handbags to collars it was absolutely everywhere. It seems to be all about texture at the moment with lace and sequins also making an appearance. Grey seemed to be the colour of the season which made me extremely happy as it is by far one of my favourites. I just think it makes everything look so chic!

My favourite pieces from the show were a suede skirt, a sequin jacket and a simply gorgeous grey wool coat, all from Marks & Spencer! I also absolutely loved the fringed grey and purple dress from the finale which I believe was from Phase Eight but sadly I think it requires a little more height than my 5 foot 2 frame provides!

After the show, there was a beauty event being held in John Lewis with free prosecco and treatments. It was the perfect end to a lovely evening to wander around with some fizz, talk to some wonderful people and get to try out some new brands. First I tried out Estée Lauder Double Wear as it is a firm Blogger favourite that I've always been curious about. I must admit after usually wearing my natural looking Dusty Girls' Earth Cream I was a little unsure as it is really full coverage but I think it could be a good option for a big night out. I found it quite difficult to apply though when I tried it myself so it may turn out to not be for me...but I shall persevere since I was given quite a generous sample.

I then discovered the new perfume due to launch this month from Shiseido called Ever Bloom. It was a warm, floral fragrance that is much more modern than Shiseido's other offering, Zen. I really liked it and may well pick it up once it is released.

Next I stumbled across a brand that I've actually never heard of before called Decleor. They have a stunning range of skincare products which are mainly oil based and are usually found in spas. Jo, the lady on the Decleor counter, was an absolute pleasure to talk to. I must have taken up quite a lot of her time with all my questions but she seemed so genuinely happy to discuss the brand with me which always really makes me warm to a brand. There is a big difference between someone with a set sales pitch and someone who personally believes in the brand and I really felt that the latter was the case. She also told me that there were treatment rooms tucked away at the back of the John Lewis store where you could have massages and facials with Decleor products which was a very pleasant surprise. I will certainly be booking in!

Lastly I popped over to the Liz Earle counter to check out their newly launched serum. The brand has become extremely popular in recent years with their Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser so I was curious to see whether their newest product lived up to expectations. I had a great chat with Richard from the Liz Earle counter who let me try the products and gave me a few nice samples. On first try, the serum seems really light and sinks in really quickly. Like all Liz Earle products, it also smelt so fresh!

It was such a lovely evening! The fashion show gave me a great chance to see the upcoming trends of the season along with just being a really entertaining evening and the beauty event was a nice touch of luxury. Thank you so much to both The Mall and to Gina Jones for inviting me along, I loved every minute of it!

Shrinking Violet Home Kit Review

Okay be honest with me, if you could loose a few inches by slathering yourself in oil and putting on a rather interesting looking silver suit, would you do it? Even if you are a bit of a gym bunny, I think the idea of utilising your down time to the max is pretty tempting. This is the idea behind the Shrinking Violet home kit* (RRP £99). If you aren't already familiar with the brand, they are best known for the Shrinking Violet Professional Body Wrap that is used in salons around the country. They are really popular with celebrities and regular salon goers alike and now, they have branched out to the at-home market.

I was contacted by the Get Shrinking team in mid August about a top secret launch. All of the information was strictly embargoed until September 15th and right until the kit arrived, I wasn't entirely sure what exactly was going to turn up! I am a sucker for good packaging and I must admit, the Shrinking Violet team have nailed it. A clean looking white box arrived packed with their innovative oil based solution, a measuring cup, a handy measuring tape to track the inches you have lost and of course, one very sexy shrink suit.

The idea is that you rub the solution into any problem areas and then don the shrink suit for an hour which will help to increase your body temperature. This helps to encourage perspiration, allowing the body to start sweating out toxins and also claims to help break down fat cells. Whether you want to exercise with the suit on or just lounge around on the sofa is completely up to you as your temperature only needs to be raised by two degrees to start the treatment. Now, I have a lot of problem areas so I practically doused myself in the oil and put on my shrink suit, curious to see whether there would genuinely be any affect.

The first thing I have to say about the experience is my god I felt ridiculous. I honestly looked like a sausage in foil...it was pretty horrifying. So from that, I'm sure you can gather that there will certainly not be any full body shots of this delightful ensemble but here are a few sneak peaks...

I chose to take the lazy route and see what inch loss could be achieved simply by chilling out with the suit on for the first attempt. In true Sod's Law style, after a good half hour of becoming delightfully sweaty (blogging is really not always glamorous guys!), there was a knock at my front door. In a bit of a panicked state, I chose to cover up my outfit by quickly chucking on my coat...not realising that it sort of looked like I was planning to go out...in my shiny silver trousers that were poking out from underneath. Needless to say I got a rather strange look from the poor guy at the door. Anyway, I digress but essentially, I will say that despite the instruction booklet saying you could wear this anywhere, even to the gym, it's certainly not something I'd like to be publicly seen in!

During the time I wore the suit my temperature definitely increased despite minimal activity, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. In addition it also felt quite itchy, particularly in areas where the oil was most heavily used but after a bit of research I've found that to be expected. It certainly wasn't a bad experience though and after an hour, I was very anxious to see the results. I took my measurements both before and after the treatment and overall I lost just over 3 inches. Not bad at all for just sitting on my sofa!

Now I'm sure that the effects are mainly down to water loss and will be interested to see whether the inches will continue to drop if I keep using the suit on a regular basis. The kit that I received has enough for eight treatments so I will update you all once I have completed the course. So what are my thoughts after my initial try out? Well I wouldn't say it's one of those products that you need to have in your life. But it did do exactly what it said on the tin and if you have a spare £99 to spend, then go for it. I reckon it would be really handy to have around especially before a big event if you just wanted to be that little bit more svelte! As for the long term effects, I shall let you know!

My Lust List

Whenever pay day draws near, I seem to spend quite a large amount of my time planning exactly how I can spend my money. Yes, before the pennies are even in my poor abused bank account, I am already thinking of ways to steal them away. So I thought what better way to justify my unhealthy habit than to tell you exactly what it is that I desperately “need” in my life right now.

First up is something I have had an online love affair with for a good couple of months now. These gorgeous ombre hair extensions are from Ninas Creative Couture Etsy shop and I am besotted with them. In fact, I have picked this gorgeous ocean blue because it is simply stunning but the truth is I would probably buy half the shop if I had the means. They are all hand dyed and there is a huge range of colours that all look so gorgeous. From bright pink to sunset orange to fashionable grey, everything is covered. I talk the big talk about wanting to try out crazy bold colours but in reality I am terrified one pink dye gone wrong episode could mean staining my blonde hair for a very long time so these extensions just seem like the perfect option! Colour without fear, hello.

Next up is a relatively new addition after coming across With Love Lilly at Bloggers Fashion Week. They make gorgeous, delicate lingerie that is just so darn pretty. Everything is handmade, they can make custom sizes and ahem…did I mention it was REALLY pretty? This is currently my top favourite out of their selection. I want.
Be still my beating heart. Have you ever seen a lipstick that looks so beautiful? The king of shoes, Christian Louboutin, has turned his hand to lipstick and oh my does he know how to make a showstopper. I’ll be honest and say, I don’t even care if the lipstick isn’t the most amazing thing ever, it can just sit and look pretty for all I care. My mum has always said that I’m a sucker for advertising and yes I agree, but I’m sorry mum, this time I just don’t care!

So makeup brushes are very handy. They are a great tool to go from morning troll to glowing beauty
(ahem...ish) but generally they are pretty boring in the looks department. Well step aside standard brown fibered brush, hello mermaid gloriousness. These beauties from Spectrum Brushes seem to be popping up everywhere at the moment and I really want to give them a try. I know, I'm doing that thing again, getting drawn in, but honestly the reviews of these brushes are also incredibly good so this is definitely an all rounder!

Changing it up, I desperately want something like this for my wedding. I love the vintage feel which would be perfect for the look we are creating but I just can't find the space in our budget. The vast amount of places hire these beauties at about £300 for three letters and I just can't get on board with that at all. Think how much Jack Daniels and Gin we could get for that!? So...I am attempting to make my own...it could go horribly wrong...watch this space.
If you read my blog often you will already know of my perfume obsession. Suffice to say I'm usually always lusting after a couple of fragrances at any given time. My latest love is Ghost Girl. It's an interesting fruity, flowery mix with an undercurrent of smokeyness from cedarwood and amber. Though I'll be honest and say in this case, the packaging really doesn't do it for me. It looks like a teenage girl threw up on it but luckily the scent more than makes up for it. See mum, be proud, this time I have overcome the advertising.

Since we're heading in to Autumn at full throttle, it's definitely time to crack out some cool boots for the season. My shoe of choice are these crocodile, zip detailed beauties from Boohoo and at only £28 they are a bit of a bargain too. Unlike some of the scarier priced items (Louboutin I'm looking at you..) on this list, these will certainly be mine very soon.
Lastly, I want to get on this oscillating, exfoliating brush bandwagon.  There seem to be quite a lot of brands bringing out these types of products at the moment and the prices vary hugely but at £50-£80, Magnitone seem to be the more budget friendly option. My curiosity is piqued and I'm genuinely interested to see whether they actually make a big difference to keeping my problem skin under control. It requires a tight leash to keep it in line so I'm a little nervous it might run wild at the mere thought of these things but nothing ventured, nothing gained right?

So what are you all feeling like splurging on at the moment? Has anything on this list caught your attention? Let me know in the comments!

My first event - Bloggers Fashion Week

On Monday I was lucky enough to get a chance to go along to Bloggers Fashion Week which is ran by The Bloggers Hangout. Since I have only been blogging for a little while I was incredibly excited to have the chance to go to my first event!

It took place in the OXO Tower in London which was such a stunning venue. I'm based in Bristol so it was a little bit of a trek but it was most definitely worth it. I was pretty nervous so was really glad that my lovely friend Flora came along to keep me company and to see what all this blogging business was about!

There was a dress code of all black chic which worked so well. Everyone looked absolutely amazing and I definitely got some serious outfit envy as I was walking around. It took us a little while to work out exactly where we needed to go but the group of people dressed all in black was a good clue to follow. I think the event would definitely benefit from a little more signage though in the future to prevent any lost bloggers!

Upon entering I was immediately drawn to the Great Lengths stand as I have been eyeing up getting extensions from them for my wedding. If you haven't heard of them before they are literally one of the best in the business for bonded extensions. They use a keratin bonding system which is far better for your hair than traditional bonding and they are simply the most exceptional quality. They were showcasing their new GL Apps which are smaller sections of hair that use a tape application and come in a huge variety of colours, both natural and a little more crazy. I practically jumped at the chance to have one put in my hair and opted for a bright pink! I have always wanted to try bright colours in my hair but have never quite had the courage so I thought the GL Apps were the perfect option. It took around 10 minutes to apply and should usually last for up to 12 weeks! They are definitely a great option if you want to try out a new style or if you want to change things up often.

Once I was all kitted out with my new look, we headed off to discover the other brands! The first area was mainly brands who were actually allowing you to try their products there and then which was really fun. I had my nails painted by Kate, the amazing owner of nail varnish brand True Brit London in a gorgeous vivid pink to match my hair. She was so interesting to talk to and I really admired how much she has achieved. She is just about to open a new restaurant in Sheffield which has been a lifelong dream so I hope it all goes perfectly!

I also had my makeup done with Pixi makeup. I was quite excited to try it as after the crazy success of their Glow Tonic recently, their makeup line is becoming more and more popular. Unfortunately I didn't really feel like it suited my skin. It oddly seemed to accentuate problem areas such as pores and under eye circles rather than hide them which was a shame. However I did see a girl before me have their makeup done with the same products though and frankly she looked utterly stunning so it's obviously just not for me!

Next we headed on to the Gifting Lounge and I practically ran to the Halo Hair stand. I usually use clip in hair extensions for big occasions and I love them but my god they are a pain in the arse to put in. Not to mention the crushing embarrassment when you've been jumping around a little too excitably and a clip is suddenly there for all to see....Plus god forbid someone tries to touch your head and starts wondering why you feel like you have lumps all over the place...yeah...they have their problems. So anyway... Imagine my excitement to discover hair extensions that are all in one long strip in a head band style, not a clip in sight. There is just a very fine wire that you simply arrange your hair to cover. I've popped an official photo below to show how it works in case my description is rubbish! But essentially, there is just one thing to put in, no lumpy bumps, nothing to see, just long glorious hair in an instant....yes, it is the answer to all of your hair extension problems. I even watched the lovely Aimee demo them as I was curious as to how easy it would actually be to put in and honestly, it took about two minutes!! I am really hoping to be part of Project Halo in the future as I am so incredibly impressed with this product!

Another brand that particularly stood out for me were Miglio, a stunning South African jewellery brand. Not only were they gorgeous, but they were really versatile. There was one particular necklace that could be worn as a long chain or in two different short styles which I thought would be fantastic for travelling!

The stall for True Brit London Nail Varnish was predictably stunning. As a brand they have such a great look and it's easy to see that each aspect of the product has been thought about. They have a gorgeous range of colours from pastels to brights to glimmering golds and each one oozed luxury. I've never come across a nail varnish bottle that I would actually want to display but True Brit managed it!

Another lovely discovery was the lingerie brand With Love Lilly. They specialise in luxury, handmade products and I honestly can't wait to get my hands on them. The detail in every single item is simply stunning and the fact that they will produce items for sizes up to a G is really refreshing. I often find the really detailed lingerie brands specialise in much smaller sizes so it's nice to find a brand that realises girls with bigger boobs like to have really pretty items too, not just a support structure! I particularly loved the Alexis Harness Bralette and will certainly be splurging on payday! Ladies if you'd like some really luxury items, this is certainly the place to go.

I also really enjoyed talking to Tiziano about the Perphone. Perphone is essentially a phone case that has a perfume compact attached to it on the back which does sound a little crazy but trust me, it's brilliant. It comes with a number of different perfumes and is so sleek. The excitement from Tiziano was so visible and very infectious! I walked over thinking I was mildly curious and walked away thinking it was the best concept ever. Being a huge lover of perfumes who always carries a selection with me, the idea of literally having the ability to carry it in your phone is simply fabulous to me. It was another item where you could really see the craftsmanship that had gone in to the product and I really hope it takes off!

There were so many other brands that were lovely and all the people at the stands were a pleasure to talk to. Maison Ves had the very cool idea of putting personalised hashtags on candles, Pudology created the yummiest gluten free desserts I've ever tasted, Crush Cocktails made some unique and very yummy refreshments, Fleur of England were another beautiful lingerie brand, Kleem Organics had the most delicious smelling serum I've ever come across....I could literally go on and on! All of the brands were incredibly generous as well so I will be reviewing some of the products I received over the next couple of weeks.

Needless to say it was a fantastic day and I was so glad we got the chance to experience it. I will definitely want to take part in the next one!
